The radio stations of GTA VI
What Rockstar confirmed
Rockstar has officially broken down the in-game radio for Grand Theft Auto VI. In its own words, the game carries "the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio and podcasts" in the franchise's history, with stations spanning "everything from Classic Rock to Talk Radio" — a way of saying the background soundtrack touches nearly every genre.
So far the studio has detailed six named stations, each with its own identity, hosts, and musical character:
- Cocoteo FM — modern Latin, hosted by El Martillo and La Gata. The station's motto: "El party que nunca se apaga." The rotation includes Bad Bunny (EoO) and Romeo Santos.
- Back Country Radio — renegade country with MW and Delta Dawne, carrying the soundscape of Leonida's countryside with Loretta Lynn, David Allan Coe and Hank Williams Jr.
- AfroBank FM — amapiano, African classics and 3-step, hosted by Burna and Palmsy, with the tagline to "turn up the gbedu."
- The Chamber — crushing metal, run by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom, playing Black Sabbath, Pantera and Slayer.
- Flash FM — pop, hosted by Robyn and Alex, "the Vice City institution" with Charli xcx, MGMT and Zara Larsson.
- Dirty South Classics — classic regional rap and hip-hop from the South, hosted by Trick and Trina, featuring DJ Khaled and David Banner.
Broadcasting live across Leonida
Rockstar describes the system as radio broadcasting live across Leonida — a world the series has already teased. Each station helps define the feel of its region and its characters, reinforcing the sense of a lived-in city.
The soundtrack, too
Separately from the in-game radio, the game also ships with a standalone soundtrack, GTA VI: The Album, released on November 19, 2026 — the same day as the game — on vinyl and CD. The radio stations and the album work as a pair: one for inside the world, one for out of it.
